Is the volume control on the v2 a bit immediate for you? If so you may want to adjust the gain to give you a bit more control over the volume. To do this you will require 2 x 47K metal ohm resistors. Remove both R107 and R207 from the PCB (see diagrams) and fit the 47K resistors into these posistions. This will adjust the gain from 9 down to around 5.7. This should give you a more user friendly volume control but if you wish to adjust the gain even more then experiment with resistor values from 47K to 70K until you find the level that suits you best.
